Fiction: 

• Farewell to Manzanar by Jeanne Wakatsuki Houston and James Houston  
• Night Journeys by Avi 
• Catherine Called Birdy by Karen Cushman 

Nonfiction: 

• Reaching for the Moon:  The Autobiography of NASA Mathematician Katherine Johnson by Katherine Johnson
• The Ocean of Truth:  The Story of Sir Isaac Newton by Joyce McPherson
